Hormones in Harmony

One of the first issues I was able to relieve after taking my first two levels of Touch for Health classes was hip and lower back pain I was having. When I would bend my lower back for an extended period during the day, I would have terrible aching in my hips and lower back. Sometimes this would happen from leaning over a table to stamp scrapbook pages or sitting at the computer for a long period of time. It was very painful at the end of the day and I could not get comfortable and could not sleep. I soon discovered after testing my muscles that my gluteus medius, adductor, periformis and gluteus maximus muscles were weak (circulation/sx acupuncture meridian line). Also, this circulation meridian was the first under energy after Triple Warmer (fight or flight response) overstressed energy. Through strengthening my Circulation/Sx meridian, I was able to find great relief from the hip and lower back pain.

I figured out that I could rub the origin (where the muscle is attached to the more stable skeleton bones) and insertion (where the muscle is attached to the more movable skeleton bones) and find great relief very quickly. Rubbing across these fibers created heat and increased circulation. Spending ten minutes rubbing the origin and insertion for all four of the circulation/sx meridian muscles would bring great relief and I could then lay down and sleep.

A wonderful side affect from balancing the Circulation/Sx acupuncture meridian was that after a couple months I no longer had a extremely heavy 2nd day of my menstrual cycle. Now that was a great surprise that I was not expecting but made me very happy!
